Who said romance was dead?

I woke up this morning and was about to get up with C.J. when Justin told me to lay back down that he would take care of the kids so I could sleep in. About an hour later he surprised me with breakfast in bed. It was wonderful! He made eggs, bacon and heart shaped pancakes served with chocolate milk, beautiful roses and a very sweet card. After I ate he came and took the dishes and let me go back to sleep. I didn't have to worry about the kids, all I had to do was sleep. Then this evening his mother watched our kids and he took me to a nice steak house in Garden city followed by a visit to a chocolate shop. Where he bought me some Chocolate covered raspberries and chocolate covered pretzels. I love Justin so much he is such a wonderful husband. He is so thoughtful and I know he loves me. I am so grateful to have him in my life.

Happy Valentines Day!

Bed Time For Brylee!

C.J is getting to big for his bassinet so we had to decide if we were going to get another crib or try to take Brylee out of hers. We thought Brylee might still be a little to young to understand she needed to stay in bed. Well my Grandma and Grandpa Blau said they had a toddler bed we could have if we wanted it. So we decided we would try and if it didn't work out we would just have to get another crib.
After we put the bed together we showed it to Brylee. She seemed excited about it. She crawled into it and even jumped up and down on it. Well then came bed time. We read her a book, said our prayers and off to bed she went. Justin and I expected to have to put her back in bed at least a few times, but after about fifteen minutes Justin went to check on her and she was sound asleep. Not once did we have to put her back in bed. She slept through the night till ten the next morning. Great right. Well next came the challenge of nap time. She tends to fight me a little more often at nap time. So I laid her down and explained that it was time for her nap and that she needed to stay in bed. A few minutes later I heard her up playing. I went and put her back in bed and told her she needed to stay in bed. Again a few minutes later I heard her playing. This time as soon as she saw me she ran and got back into bed. It took a couple more times of her running back to bed but she finally stayed and took her nap.
Right now we are attempting night two. So far so good. She has been in bed for over an hour and hasn't got out once. She is sound asleep. Lets hope the pattern stays so that in a week or so we can move C.J in to the crib. Wish us luck.

Our Little Man!

Justin has had this weird thing about C.J's hair, he has refused to let me cut it. I kept telling him that it was getting to long. So finally on Saturday he told me I could trim the sides as long as I didn't touch the top. I was so glad because the sides were growing past his ears. So I grabbed the opportunity and cut it right then, before he could change his mind. I may have gotten a little carried away but he looks cute. Although he would look much better if Justin would let me trim the top a little. Oh well, compromise right?
Our little boy is just the opposite of Our little girl starting off with there size difference. We took C.J to his four month check up yesterday. He weighs 14 pounds 12 oz. he is in the 50Th percentile for his weight Brylee has never been past the 3rd percentile at 18 months only weighing 19 pounds. She had better be nice to her little brother pretty soon he will be much bigger then her, But they do have one thing in common they are both shorties C.J. is only in the 25Th percentile and Brylee is in the 10Th.
They may be different but one things for sure I have two very cute kids.

Our Lively Super Bowl Party!

We didn't go to a super bowl party. We just stayed home and watched it. Bonnie, Brylee and C.J. Were zonked out within the first ten minutes. When Brylee woke up she watched most of the game with us every once in a while she would yell ya or touch down with her daddy. She even cheered for the wrong team. We need to work on that with her. Part way though the game I put C.J. on the ground. The next thing I knew he rolled over (for the first time) and started to watch the game. It looks like their daddy got his wish. Two kids who love football.

Justins Birthday

On Friday the 30Th Justin turned 27. He is getting so old! I helped Brylee make a card from her and C.J. and she gave him a box of cherry chocolates ( those are his favorite ) and I gave him a card as well. When he got home from work I surprised him with a homemade New York style blueberry cheesecake (also a favorite ). I'm not trying to brag but it was yummy. We have been saving a Red Lobster gift card to use for mine and Justins birthdays so on Saturday we took off and went to Pocatello. We took the kids to the mall, Let Brylee play on the soft play there, Justin went to the sportsman warehouse to look at a new bow he his saving for and then we went and ate at Red Lobster. Justin and I are big seafood fans. We can't afford it very often so this was a treat for us. Over all we had a pretty good day.
