Five and a Duck!

I have a funny story I wanted to share. My sisters sister in law Heather was taking our family pictures a couple weeks ago. I told her that When I got pregnant with my next baby I wanted her to take some pregnancy pictures of me so I can always remember being pregnant. She asked me how many kids Justin and I were planing on having. I told her we planned on having five and then we would like to adopt one. She gave me a strange look and then giggled a little. Then repeated five and a duck? I laughed and said not a duck, adopt! She said she thought that was the strangest response to that question she has ever heard. I saw her about a week after and she said she still can't stop laughing about it.
Any ways she did a great job with our pictures. She has such great talent. you should check out some of her work on her blog http://hcbphoto.blogspot.com/ .

CJ is now one!

On Oct 8Th my baby boy turned one. Wow has the last year flown by so fast! It just seems like yesterday that I had this grumpy little new born who I had to feed from a tube, he never slept or never stopped screaming. People would tell me that they had never seen a baby who cried so much. Despite all the crying you couldn't help but fall in love with him. He is still a handful (to say the least), but he has developed such a fun personality. He already is a tease, likes to wrestle with his dad and has a temper like you wouldn't believe. He fights with his sister, but will randomly go and give her a big hug. His first word wasn't dad or mom it was dog. He loves to hug soft things and is learning to walk. I'm so excited to see my little boy turn into a man. I love you CJ! Happy Birthday!

Justin and I gave him a giant soft Dinosaur. He loves it! He loves to go and give it big hugs!

His Grandma Bonnie made him this adorable puppy blanket. Every time he sees it he says Dog! Dog! It's so cute!

For his Birthday we rented a hotel room and use the pool for his party. It was a ton of fun. CJ is a little fish. He is to brave. He would rather just go on his own and not have us hold on to him. We made him puppy cupcakes and ordered pizza for dinner. I think everyone had a good time.
We had one little scare. My Nephew Ryan got into the pool without his life jacket. Walked a little to deep. My sister yelled for someone to grab him. I had CJ in my arms so I had to hurry and put him down. My sister in law and I jumped in the pool to grab him at the same time. The only difference was I was wearing my swimsuit and Cam was fully clothed. Shoes and all. At least she checked her pockets first! Sorry to get you all wet, but thanks for jumping in! I told you you should have swam with the rest of us! :) Afterwards I watched my sisters kids while her and her husband went to a movie. The kids all got to bath in the giant jetted tub and we all cuddled up on the bed and watched Snow White. Then my sister came and took my kids over night so Justin and I could enjoy a nice romantic evening in our Honeymoon suite. It was a great day! Thanks you to everyone who came to celebrated CJs first year with us!
